报告概述:Melanization is present in principally all eukaryotic organisms and the end result of this reaction is the formation of melanin, which is toxic to microorganisms and fungi. The melanization comprises several proteases, protease inhibitors and phenoloxidase, a redox enzyme which converts phenols to melanin. If microorganisms enter the body cavity, they will release pattern recognition molecules from their cell walls and these PRMs will bind to pattern recognition receptors and induce activation of this proteolytic cascade and finally prophenoloxidase is cleaved by a protease, ppA and as a result melanization occurs. This enzyme cascade has been deciphered in detail, which will be discussed in this talk. The clotting reaction is similar to the last step in mammals since it consists of a transglutaminase and a clotting protein. The latter has no sequence similarity with fibrinogen.
